Job Description:

  • Production Supervisor – Night Shift
  • Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc. | Performance Polymers Division
  • Location: Greer, South Carolina | On-site
  • Schedule: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. | Four nights on, four days off

Bring your manufacturing leadership experience to a role where you can directly influence safety, quality, and team performance.

Mitsubishi Chemical America is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our night-shift team in Greer, South Carolina. In this hands-on position, you’ll oversee five to six production employees, provide clear direction, develop their skills, and help the team consistently meet production goals.

We welcome experienced leaders from a variety of manufacturing industries. Prior plastics or polymer experience is not required—we can teach our processes. Your ability to coach employees, build accountability, and follow through on expectations is what matters most.

As Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead from the production floor. Stay engaged with employees, learn the equipment, and ensure work follows established procedures and operating parameters.
  • Champion safety. Reinforce safe work practices, proper PPE use, and a clean, organized work environment.
  • Set the direction for each shift. Conduct shift meetings, communicate priorities, assign responsibilities, and coordinate staffing.
  • Develop your team. Provide daily coaching, support training, conduct performance reviews, and address performance or attendance concerns.
  • Improve production results. Monitor production and quality data, troubleshoot problems, and support efforts to reduce downtime and scrap.
  • Maintain accurate records. Review production documentation, verify timekeeping, and manage training and employee records.
  • Work across departments. Partner with production leadership, maintenance, quality, and HR to resolve issues and support employees.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Approximately five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success setting expectations, holding employees accountable, and supporting their development.
  • Strong safety awareness, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Dependability and availability to work the night-shift schedule, with additional shift coverage for vacations or absences as needed.

Experience with compounding, extrusion, or blending, along with CPR and First Aid certification, is a plus.

This position offers a permanent night schedule with four consecutive days off during each regular work cycle. Scheduled workdays move throughout the week and include weekends. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your shift, build your team’s capabilities, and make visible improvements in daily operations.

The salary range for this position is $82,600–$103,200. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
