About the Company:

CORMETECH, Inc. was founded in 1989 and provides environmental engineering solutions and services to the North American and world's power, marine, industrial-process, refinery, and petrochemical markets. It is servicing the growth needs of the U.S. power generating fleet to comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations in a cost-effective way.

CORMETECH has fully dedicated, state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, research and development centers and testing laboratories in Cleveland (TN), Durham (NC), and Kings Mountain (NC).

All full-time employees are eligible for benefits on day one of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Determine training needs in accordance with OSHA’s regulations, ISO requirements and Cormetech’s training requirements and implement training programs.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine organizations training needs through needs analysis and assessment.
  • Identify outside sources for training as necessary.
  • Organize and conduct training, orientation, and educational programs to meet organizational and skills development needs.
  • Training activities may range from on-the-job skill training to supervisory/management development.
  • Follow up on effectiveness of programs to access appropriateness of materials.
  • Monitor and maintain training standards to ensure compliance with both State and Federal employment regulations and Cormetech policies and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation on personnel transactions such as training, team meetings, orientations, certifications, promotions and transfers.
  • Administer and maintain Cormetech’s Pay for Performance Program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred and relevant work experience
  • Acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work on his/her own and with a team
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace environment
  • Working knowledge in the area of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) guidelines preferred
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory
  • Flexibility to provide training on all shifts is required
