Join the Kids Club at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester located at 180 Constitution Avenue, (Great Brook Valley) Worcester, MA and spend your afternoons helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and engaging environment!
This is a fantastic opportunity for college students, aspiring teachers, education majors, youth development professionals, retirees, or anyone looking for meaningful part-time work.
It's an exciting time at our Great Brook Valley Kids Club! We are in the midst of a capital campaign to rebuild the club to include a two story building with a pool and the ability to serve over 500 kids a day!
This per diem (as needed) position provides flexible coverage based on operational needs. Shifts may range from occasional hours or single-day assignments to extended coverage periods of two to three weeks for vacations, leaves of absence, or other staffing needs. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours, and scheduling will vary depending on department requirements.
- Facility Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
- Position Type: Per Diem (As needed)
- Location: 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA (Great Brook Valley)

What You'll Do
As a Program Staff member, you'll help create exciting after-school experiences for children ages 5-13 by:
- Leading and assisting with games, sports, arts & crafts, STEM projects, homework help, and enrichment activities
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Encouraging participation, teamwork, and personal growth
- Helping create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Supporting educational and recreational programming
- Following EEC regulations and organizational policies
- Assisting with light cleaning and general program support

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required
- Positive attitude, dependability, and enthusiasm for working with children
- Must be at least 18 years old (per EEC regulations)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a CORI, national background check, and EEC fingerprinting requirements
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with youth in schools, camps, child care programs, or community organizations
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Experience providing academic support or homework assistance
- Familiarity with educational technology and online learning tools
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, and actively engaging with children for extended periods
- Ability to participate in recreational and indoor/outdoor activities
