  • The Opportunity
  • The Program Support Services Manager is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of programs that provide a variety of meaningful activities to meet the physical, psychological, social, emotional and/or spiritual needs of residents.

What Is In It For You

Supports Resident Documentation Requirements including Resident Assessment/Re-assessment, Care Planning, MDS Coding, and Progress Notes.

Supports resident and family councils.

Maintains a calendar of recreational & social activities that support the interests, needs and cultural diversity of residents.

Coordinates/facilitates recreation programs, special events, outings & entertainment.

Coordinates the Volunteer Program including student and co-op placements.

Coordinates religious and spiritual program opportunities.

Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Administrator.

What You Will Need

A post-secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field such as Kinesiology or Gerontology and related experience specific to providing recreation and leisure services in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors.

Provincial certification for safe food handling.

Certificate in Volunteer Management is preferred.

Salary: $65,000.00 per year

Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
