Description
At RDG, great healthcare design starts with listening. We’re looking for an experienced architect who is passionate about providing exceptional client service, building lasting relationships and creating environments that support better care.
In this role, you’ll be involved with healthcare projects from early planning and design through construction administration, serving as a trusted partner to clients and a steady leader for multidisciplinary project teams. You’ll anticipate needs, communicate clearly and keep projects aligned with each client’s goals, schedule and budget.
You’ll also have a meaningful role in the continued growth of our Madison office. As part of a newer, close-knit team backed by an established firm with more than 60 years of experience, you’ll get the best of both worlds: the autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit to help shape a growing office, along with the resources, expertise and stability of a nationally recognized practice. If you’re energized by strong client relationships, collaborative project leadership and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, we’d love to meet you.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare clients, delivering responsive, thoughtful service and building relationships that extend beyond a single project.
- Engage in healthcare projects from initial programming and conceptual design through construction documentation and construction administration.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams, consultants, contractors and client stakeholders to support clear communication and successful project delivery.
- Anticipate project and client needs, help identify challenges early and guide teams toward practical, creative solutions.
- Maintain a high standard of design quality, technical accuracy and documentation throughout every phase of the project.
- Collaborate with RDG’s healthcare leaders and teams across offices, drawing on firmwide expertise and resources.
- Support client presentations, interviews, proposals and other relationship-building efforts.
- Mentor emerging professionals and contribute to the culture, capabilities and continued growth of the Madison office.
