Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years, HPCs two EPR reactors will be capable of generating 3.26GW of secure, low carbon electricity for 60 years, enough electricity to power around 6 million homes. The Project Controls Engineer is supporting the implementation of Project Controls specific processes and framework. You will follow all governance arrangements for Integrated Project Controls providing effective reporting of Project Controls information in a timely and accurate manner.

Role responsibilities:

• - Produce and maintain accurate forecasts and Project Controls data in alignment with the Cost Breakdown Structure or Work Breakdown Structure (CBS/WBS)
• - Accurately maintain all Project Controls data for their area of responsibility within the Project Controls software systems e.g. Ecosys, P6, ARM etc.
• - Co-ordinate and produce Project controls reports to a defined reporting cycle, including commentary on key time-related drivers and performance issues
• - Assist in the Trend & Change process, including analysis at Project level, generating performance indicators and providing
• - Delivers clear and concise insights to support robust decision-making utilising commercial and technical information to influence decisions.
• - Analytical support for Project Controls Managers and Senior Project Controls Engineers through robust analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data to facilitate prioritisation and any necessary actions.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• - Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering, or another related field
• - Proven experience of Project Controls including the tools and a variety of techniques used to deliver project insight and assess performance

• - Understanding of project controls methodologies and techniques.
• - High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of outputs and validity of quality data.
• - Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• - Effectively communicates complex issues and concepts (unique insights) in simple ways, to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
