Project Engineer

Job Summary

As a Project Engineer, you will lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects across multiple IPEX manufacturing locations throughout the United States. Working closely with operations, maintenance, quality, health and safety, and logistics teams, you will drive projects from concept through implementation, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.

This role combines technical expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence and business growth across the organization.

Travel Requirement: up to 30%.

Principal Responsibilities

• •Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering and capital projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget and timeline
• •Manage project resources, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and business goals.
• •Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency through innovative engineering solutions and best practices.
• •Collaborate with plant and corporate stakeholders to develop project strategies that align with operational requirements and organizational priorities.
• •Identify, evaluate, and resolve technical and engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• •Review engineering designs, specifications, and construction documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal requirements.
• •Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• •Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring project success.

Qualifications & Experience

• •Associates Degree or Bachelor’s in Engineering, PMP certification is an asset
• •4 years of CapEx project management experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry
• •Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment is an asset
• •Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• •Proven ability to lead and influence both internal and external project team
• •Adaptable and highly motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment
• •Good knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and the Office suite
• •General knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics
