About JLL Project & Development Services (PDS)

JLL's Project & Development Services team delivers end-to-end project management solutions for corporate occupiers, developers, and investors. Our PDS division in Mumbai manages a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial office fit-outs, base building developments, retail spaces, data centers, and industrial facilities. We provide comprehensive services from project conception through completion, ensuring delivery excellence across all phases.

Position Overview

We are seeking highly motivated fresh graduates or professionals with up to 1 year of experience to join our PDS team in Mumbai as Project Engineers. This exceptional learning opportunities in construction project management, providing exposure to high-profile commercial real estate projects for leading multinational clients. You will work alongside experienced project managers and engineers while developing technical and professional competencies essential for a successful career in project management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery Support You will support the PDS team in delivering construction and fit-out projects across various asset classes. This includes assisting project engineers and managers with day-to-day project coordination, tracking project milestones, and ensuring deliverables are completed according to established timelines. You will gain comprehensive exposure to JLL's project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.

Site Supervision & Quality Monitoring Regular site visits to active construction sites will form a critical part of your learning experience. You will accompany senior team members to commercial office developments, corporate fit-out projects, and other facilities to observe construction activities, understand site management practices, and learn quality control procedures. Responsibilities include documenting site conditions through photographs, noting work progress, identifying quality issues, and assisting in punch list preparation.

Technical Documentation & Drawing Management You will assist in reviewing and managing technical documentation including architectural drawings, MEP layouts, structural plans, and specifications. This involves coordinating drawing revisions, maintaining updated drawing registers, tracking submittal logs, and ensuring document version control. You will learn to identify potential clashes or coordination issues across different engineering disciplines.

Meeting Coordination & Reporting Supporting the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, attending project meetings, recording minutes, and tracking action items will develop your project coordination skills. You will help prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, project presentations, and status dashboards for internal teams and client stakeholders.

Contractor & Vendor Coordination You will assist in coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and material suppliers. This includes tracking contractor deliverables, obtaining competitive quotations, maintaining vendor databases, processing material submittals and approvals, and supporting the procurement process under guidance from senior team members.

Budget & Schedule Tracking Learning to monitor project budgets and schedules is essential. You will assist in tracking costs against approved budgets, reviewing contractor payment applications, maintaining cost registers, and helping prepare budget variance reports. For schedule management, you will support updating project schedules, tracking critical path activities, and identifying potential delays.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Understanding and promoting safety culture is paramount. You will participate in site safety inductions, attend safety meetings, assist in conducting safety inspections, and ensure compliance with JLL's HSE policies. You will learn to identify potential hazards and understand corrective action protocols.

Client Interaction & Relationship Management Under supervision, you will gain exposure to client interactions, learning professional communication standards and relationship management practices. This includes attending client meetings, understanding client requirements, and delivering service excellence aligned with JLL PDS standards.

Continuous Learning & Professional Development Active participation in JLL's training programs, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions is expected. You will have opportunities to learn industry best practices, emerging technologies in construction, and project management tools and techniques.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a recognized institution. Recent graduates (2023-2025 batches) or professionals with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of construction processes, building systems, and engineering principles
  • Familiarity with reading technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD (ability to view and understand drawings)
  • Competency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to learn project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (verbal and written)

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to conduct frequent site visits across Mumbai and surrounding areas (MMR region)
  • Flexibility to work on-site as required by project demands
  • Ability to work occasionally beyond standard hours to meet project deadlines
