Here’s the Gist:

The primary purpose of the Project Management Engineer at Wolfspeed is to support equipment installations, factory layout design, and capacity expansion planning across Wolfspeed's manufacturing sites.

The Day-to-Day:

• •Work cross-functionally to plan and execute equipment installations from need identification through production release, including developing the overall project plan: schedule, milestones and tasks, factory layout design, etc.
• •Communicate regularly with management and other functional groups within Wolfspeed to report progress and ensure understanding of needs/problems in relation to industrial engineering projects.
• •Lead / participate in projects related to work force utilization, work center layout, material flows, production costs, process flow and production requirements to enable high factory performance.
• •Interact with other technical groups throughout Wolfspeed and elsewhere to exchange technical information and remain abreast of new developments in the field.
• •Support of 24/7 manufacturing and participate in production planning.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• •BS degree from a four-year college/university in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• •5+ years prior work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• •Strong project management skills.
• •Excellent listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• •Overall knowledge of industrial engineering to support capacity planning, resource utilization and lean manufacturing.
• •Strong analytical skills with proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, and/or statistical analysis software (SQL, Access, JMP, VBA, etc.).

Highly Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• •MS degree applicable to the Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering field.
• •5+ years’ experience managing projects over $5 million.
• •5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering field.
• •Project Management certification(s).
• •Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet).
