Project Manager

Location: Romania | Full-time

Join our team and lead the successful delivery of power grid and energy infrastructure projects. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and engineering coordination to installation, commissioning, and customer handover.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, factory testing (FAT), transport, and site works (installation, SAT, commissioning).

• •Monitor progress against contractual milestones and payment schedules; escalate deviations early.
• •Align engineering, factory, and site teams' capacity with project timelines.
• •Identify schedule risks (long-lead items such as core steel, copper, bushings, OLTC) and drive mitigation.

• •Act as the single point of contact between design engineering, the customer's technical team, and third-party consultants.
• •Manage submission, review, and approval of GA drawings, single-line diagrams, nameplate data, and calculation reports.
• •Assess technical, cost, and schedule impact of design or scope changes and process through variation orders.

• •Plan and witness routine, type, and special tests.
• •Ensure manufacturing follows the approved Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and quality control checkpoints (core assembly, winding, drying, tanking, oil treatment).
• •Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for NCRs raised during manufacturing or testing.

• •Coordinate procurement of critical components (bushings, OLTC, cooling equipment, protection relays, transformer oil) with the supply chain team.
• •Manage abnormal/heavy transport logistics for large power transformers, including route surveys and permits.

• •Enforce site safety procedures for high-voltage equipment, lifting operations, and confined-space/oil work.
• •Interface with the customer's grid/substation team for switching, protection settings, and energization.

• •Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle, running progress and technical review meetings.
• •Provide regular project status, risk, and financial-performance reports to senior management.

• •Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, commercial, and safety risks throughout execution.
• •Monitor project budget, forecast at completion, and manage change-order costs against baseline

Compile and control the manufacturing record book (MRB), test certificates, and as-built documentation.

Your Background:

• •5–10 years of experience in a similar role within the energy sector, ideally involving (Power grids, High-voltage substations, Power transformers).
• •University degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• •Experience working with structured processes, procedures, and operational workflows.
• •Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• •Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet demanding deadlines. High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
• •Good understanding of international commercial practices and project environments.
• •Knowledge of SAP (MM, SD, and Project modules) would be considered a strong advantage. Advanced user of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint .
• •Fluent in English and Romanian (written and spoken).
