Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control construction projects as per approved schedules and budgets.
  • Develop project execution strategies, work programs, and resource deployment plans.
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure timely resolution of project-related issues.

Resource & Procurement Management

  • Prepare manpower, equipment, and material resource plans.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials and services.
  • Optimize resource utilization to achieve productivity and cost efficiency.

Cost & Budget Control

  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
  • Ensure accurate measurement, billing, certification, and financial reporting.

Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Conduct periodic quality reviews and address non-conformities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across project teams.
  • Monitor site safety performance and implement corrective measures when required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and supervise site engineers, project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and project staff.
  • Establish performance expectations and monitor team productivity.
  • Mentor and develop team members to achieve project objectives.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and review project schedules, progress reports, MIS reports, and project documentation.
  • Maintain records related to contracts, variations, claims, approvals, and project correspondence.
  • Ensure timely project closure, handover, and documentation completion.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent project planning, scheduling, and execution skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and project controls.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, ERP systems, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Project completion within approved schedule and budget.
  • Client satisfaction and successful stakeholder management.
  • Compliance with quality standards and minimal rework.
  • Strong safety performance with zero major incidents.
  • Effective cost control and resource optimization.
  • Timely billing, certification, and project closure.
  • Achievement of project productivity and profitability targets.

Educational Qualification

  • B.E. / Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • PG in Construction Management preferred

Experience

  • 15–20 years of experience in construction project management
  • Experience in high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects preferred
