INCH & CO.

Founded in 2012 by brothers John and Jeff Inch, Inch & Co. has grown from a small local builder into an award-winning family of companies, earning recognition as one of Central Pennsylvania's fastest-growing companies by the Central Penn Business Journal in 2022. Headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, we take an integrated approach to real estate spanning land development, design, construction, management, and long-term investment, so that quality and purpose are built into every detail.

About Inch & Co. Construction

Inch & Co. Construction is the building arm of the Inch & Co. family, designing and constructing commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties throughout South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland. The team's portfolio spans everything from multi-family communities like The Flats at Hampden and Fairway Flats to commercial and industrial projects like the MCI Commercial Office and Sherman Street Warehouse. Because Inch & Co. Construction operates inside a vertically integrated company, projects benefit from close coordination with the development, real estate, and property management teams from the first shovel in the ground to the last resident move-in.

Our culture is key for our growth

Inch & Co. started as a family business, and that hasn't changed as we've grown. The company traces back to a small landscaping business built by John Inch Sr. in 1994, later carried forward by his sons John and Jeff into what is now a multi-division company spanning construction, real estate, development, landscaping, and property management. That family, third-generation mentality still shapes how we work today. We hold ourselves to a high standard, we take care of our people, and we give back to the communities we build in through initiatives like Inch Gives Back, from volunteering at local events to supporting causes our own employees care about. We believe every project is a chance to bring people together, and we want the people building those projects to feel that same sense of purpose.

We're looking for amazing people to join our team (more specifically, a PROJECT MANAGER ). The role is based in York, Pennsylvania.

Here’s where you come in

You are accountable at heart and comfortable owning outcomes from start to finish. Most of all, you anticipate problems before they become delays, you make confident decisions under pressure, and you hold yourself and everyone around you to a high bar. You've run commercial or multi-family projects before, you know how to read a set of plans and turn open items into resolved ones, and you're just as comfortable in a trailer with a superintendent as you are in a meeting with leadership.

What you should know about our team

Our construction team works hand in hand with field superintendents, architects, engineers, and consultants on every job. We move fast, we communicate constantly, and we expect the people on our projects to bring the same urgency and pride in the work that we do. Because we're part of a vertically integrated company, you'll often be coordinating with our own development and property management teams, not just outside partners, which means fewer handoffs and more ownership over how a project actually turns out.

What you should know about Inch & Co. Construction

Think builder first, paperwork second. We got here by outworking bigger firms and by treating every project like it's the one that will define our reputation. That mentality hasn't gone away as we've grown into a company with projects across Pennsylvania and expansion into Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We're willing to solve problems in the field, adjust plans when it makes the project better, and hold subcontractors and ourselves accountable to the same standard. It's fast paced, and it's a place where good work gets noticed.

OverallPurpose

The Project Manager role exists to make sure every Inch & Co. Construction project gets delivered the way it was promised: on time, on budget, and to the standard our name is built on. This person owns the full lifecycle of a project, from early scope involvement through final delivery, and is the connective tissue between internal teams, field superintendents, and outside partners so nothing falls through the cracks.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Lead and maintain accountability across all phases of construction, including schedule, budget, cost tracking, and project records

Issue and administer subcontracts, change orders, and purchase orders

Coordinate closely with field superintendents, architects, engineers, and consultants on sequencing, logistics, and evolving project details

Read and interpret construction plans and specifications, driving open items to resolution

  • Maintain
  • accurate project documentation using Knowify, Microsoft Project, and related tools

Provide regular project updates to leadership

Desired Skills & Experience:

5+ years of construction project management experience; commercial or multi-family preferred

Strong knowledge of construction documents, project coordination, organizational and leadership skills

Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

The Full Package

Health insurance options (medical, dental, vision)

401k retirement plan with company match

Paid holidays and PTO

Paid training and professional growth potential

Our mission is simple: create spaces that inspire connection and strengthen communities for generations to come. If you're looking to do meaningful work with a company that's growing fast and building something that lasts, you've found the right place.
