Company Summary:

Cogir Management USA, Inc. (“Cogir Management”) is a senior living management company with operations in 13 states. Cogir Management has 100+ communities under management and is actively pursuing new management opportunities.

Position Summary:

The Property Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reporting, cash management, adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls for a portfolio of 20+ senior living communities. The Property Accounting Manager will report to the VP of Accounting, and the position will be located at the Scottsdale, AZ corporate office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of 4 Senior Accountants.

Position responsibilities:

· Coordinate and direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for a portfolio of 20+ senior living communities.

· Monthly review of financials for accuracy, appropriate accruals and timely resolution of accounting matters.

· Lead activities of the property accounting department, including interaction with operations teams at the communities and regional VPs that contribute to the financial statements of the communities.

· Interaction with the Cogir Corporate Accounting Department related to the various billbacks, corporate invoicing and other vendor matters impacting the portfolio communities.

· Oversee the monitoring, forecasting and reporting of cash flow activity to ownership groups.

· Oversee applicable distribution and contribution requirements.

· Assure adherence to internal controls.

· Interact with Corporate and external auditors to support timely and accurate audits of internal controls and financial statements, if applicable.

· Other projects assigned.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting

· 2 to 3 years of experience overseeing a portfolio of real estate assets

· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

· Experience with intercompany and multi-company accounting and consolidation

· Strong communication and management skills including the ability to drive collaboration and teamwork with the others within the organization

· Yardi experience preferred

· Strong Excel skills
