ProtoTrak Milling Machinist, 2nd Shift

Prototrak Mill (Conversational CNC)

• •Set up and operate Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming
• •Program milling operations conversationally at the control; edit and troubleshoot existing programs
• •Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for each job
• •Perform in-process inspection using precision measurement tools
• •Select and manage tooling for optimal performance
• •Produce parts within tight tolerances and specifications
• •Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts to produce parts to print
• •Maintain production documentation such as work orders and time sheets
• •Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
• •Follow all safety guidelines and equipment protocols
• •Communicate proactively with leadership and team members on job status, tooling needs, and quality concerns

Qualifications:

• •1 to 2 or more years of machining experience required
• •Hands-on experience setting up and operating Prototrak-controlled milling machines using conversational programming required
• •Experience with Prototrak conversational controls required
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents required

Physical Requirements:

• •Ability to stand for extended periods
• •Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 25 pounds
• •Occasional bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motion
• •Fine motor skills and close visual attention required

Working Conditions:

• •On-site attendance required
• •First and Second Shift Available: First Shift – 6:00AM – 2:30PM | Second shift – 3:00PM - 11:30PM
• •Manufacturing environment; exposure to coolants, oils, metal chips, dust, and moderate to high noise
• •PPE required: safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
• •Shop temperature is climate controlled

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $24.00-47.00
