PT Dietary Aide evenings and weekends

Dietary Aide

General Purpose

The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Assist with meal and snack preparation as directed
• •Assemble trays, portion items, and help with meal service
• •Deliver meals to halls
• •Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain sanitation standards
• •Stock and rotate supplies using safe storage practices
• •Follow food safety guidelines, allergy precautions, and infection control procedures
• •Communicate needs, concerns, or changes to the Dietary Manager

Qualifications:

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• •Reliable, team-oriented, and respectful in a resident-centered environment
• •Food service experience helpful, training may be provided
• •Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

• •Language Skills
• •Ability to read technical procedures.
• •Ability to read and follow recipes.
• •Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

• •Mathematical Skills
• •Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

• •Reasoning Ability
• •Ability to solve practical problems.
• •Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• •Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• •Must obtain and maintain food handlers’ certificate.
