Pump/Turbine Mechanic

Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial pumps of various makes and models — including vertical pumps, horizontal split-case pumps, multi-stage, and sump pumps.

• •Evaluate wear patterns, diagnose failure modes, and perform precision repairs to OEM or customer specifications.
• •Reassemble equipment with attention to clearances, alignments, and dynamic balance when required.
• •Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.) to ensure tolerance compliance.
• •Document all work performed , including measurements, parts used, and findings.
• •Work in collaboration with machinists, engineers, and other mechanics to ensure job quality and timely completion.
• •Follow all safety procedures , maintain a clean work environment, and contribute to a culture of safety and reliability.
• •Occasionally support field jobs and on-site repairs, representing CTS in customer-facing environments.

Requirements

• •5+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment and pump repair
• •Strong mechanical background with problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• •Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and OEM specifications
• •Skilled in using precision tools and performing close-tolerance work
• •Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet customer deadlines
• •Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and operate safely in a shop or field environment
• •Valid driver’s license required
• •High school diploma or GED preferred; formal mechanical or technical training a plus
