Nscale are developing cutting-edge sovereign generative AI solutions, powered by a new generation of high-performance, sustainable data centres and GPUs built specifically for AI workloads. The growth of artificial intelligence is driving unprecedented global demand for compute and GPU infrastructure. Nscale is positioned at the heart of this transformation — building platforms that will enable the next decade of innovation. Nscale are working closely with the world’s most advanced AI technology providers, integrating next-gen compute hardware and GPU clusters in both partner and Nscale built facilities. This is an opportunity to join Nscale’s journey, play a key role in delivering transformative AI infrastructure, and help shape a company designed to scale rapidly across Europe and beyond.
About The Role
As a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist, you will ensure the seamless procurement, transport, and delivery of critical high-density data centre equipment and AI hardware. From tracking purchase orders for specialized server infrastructure to managing international freight logistics and customs compliance, you will play a central role in keeping our facility builds and cluster deployments on schedule. You will bridge the gap between supply chain partners, hardware vendors, site operations, and project managers to maintain an efficient, transparent supply chain.
What You’ll be Doing
Procurement Operations: Process purchase requisitions, create purchase orders (POs), and track order acknowledgments for critical data centre and compute hardware.
Shipment & Freight Tracking: Coordinate end-to-end international and domestic freight shipments, monitoring transit schedules, customs clearance, and delivery timelines to project sites.
Vendor & Logistics Liaison: Communicate daily with hardware suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and site managers to resolve delivery delays, damage claims, or inventory discrepancies.
Inventory & Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of incoming materials, equipment inventory, and serial numbers within the ERP/procurement system across partner and Nscale-built facilities.
Documentation & Compliance: Review shipping manifests, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and import/export documentation to ensure full regulatory and trade compliance.
Invoice Verification: Perform three-way matching (PO, receiving report, invoice) to ensure billing accuracy prior to finance sign-off.
About You (Skills / Qualifications)
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations (experience within IT hardware, data centres, manufacturing, or heavy tech infrastructure is a strong plus).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
ERP & Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and logistics management software, alongside advanced MS Excel skills.
Logistics & Trade Knowledge: Familiarity with global shipping standards, Incoterms, customs clearance processes, and freight coordination (air, sea, and road).
Problem-Solving & Accuracy: High attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions rapidly and manage high-volume transactional data accurately.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to negotiate schedules and align with internal cross-functional teams and external logistics partners.
