About the team

You will be part of Data lake team. Its a domain oriented , self-service enterprise Datawarehouse which ingests, transforms and stores the data from issuing platform to give the 360* view of the customer.

What you will be doing:

• •Develop data-lake applications and automation using Python and Apache Spark.
• •Design, develop, and maintain scalable data lake pipelines and transformation workflows.
• •Build and optimize DBT models and Snowflake workloads, with attention to performance, data quality, and cost.
• •Integrate data from cloud, relational, and mainframe systems, including files defined by COBOL copybooks.
• •Support and modernize existing IBM DataStage workflows while enabling migration to cloud-based platforms.
• •Apply software engineering practices such as version control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and technical documentation.
• •Collaborate with product, analytics, architecture, and operations teams to translate requirements into dependable data solutions.
• •Troubleshoot production issues and improve pipeline reliability, observability, and operational support.

What you bring :

• •Significant professional software engineering or data engineering 1-5 years of experience.
• •Proficiency in Python and experience building data-processing solutions with Apache Spark.
• •Strong SQL skills, including query development, optimization, and data modelling.
• •Good to have experience on DBT and Snowflake.
• •Experience with AWS data services and cloud-based application or pipeline deployment.
• •Familiarity of IBM DataStage and enterprise data integration patterns.
• •Familiarity with mainframe data formats and the ability to interpret COBOL copybooks.
• •Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• •Experience modernizing legacy data platforms or migrating workloads to the cloud.
• •Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and data governance.
• •Experience with orchestration, monitoring, and automated data-quality testing.
• •Familiarity with Agile delivery and CI/CD practices.
• •Good understanding of data lake concepts, ETL patterns, data modelling, distributed data processing.
• •Experience developing and supporting production data pipelines.
