• Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about improving the quality of behavioral health services? Riverbend Community Mental Health is seeking a QA Specialist to join our Quality Assurance team and play a key role in strengthening clinical quality, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement across the agency.

Quality assurance is more than reviewing charts—it’s about helping ensure that the services we provide are safe, effective, compliant, person-centered, and continuously improving.

In this role, you will help ensure that clinical documentation, services, and operational practices meet applicable state and federal requirements, Medicaid standards, SAMHSA expectations, and accreditation requirements. You’ll work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to identify opportunities for improvement, monitor performance, support corrective action, and promote practices that lead to better outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.

What You’ll Do

• •Participate in risk management and quality improvement through chart audits.
• •Investigate complaints, grievances, and compliance concerns; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• •Coordinate and monitor incident reporting, breach investigations, and required notifications.
• •Monitor and assist in the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics, identifying trends for improvements in service delivery.
• •Review sentinel events and other significant occurrences; assist with root cause analyses and follow-up actions.
• •Track corrective action plans and monitor completion and effectiveness.
• •Assist with data collection, analysis, and performance monitoring.

Who You Are:

• •Detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about quality, compliance, and improving behavioral health services.
• •Experienced in healthcare, behavioral health, quality assurance, compliance, auditing, or a related field.
• •Strong communicator who can build collaborative relationships across clinical, administrative, and leadership teams.
• •Organized and able to manage multiple audits, projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• •Skilled at analyzing information, identifying trends, and turning findings into practical improvements.
• •Comfortable working independently while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and attention to confidentiality.
• •Familiarity with Medicaid, SAMHSA, accreditation, clinical documentation, and regulatory standards is a plus.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• •Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, human services, paralegal or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• •Demonstrated experience can be substituted for educational requirement
• •Two to five (2-5) years’ experience in compliance, quality improvement, or healthcare operations.
• •Behavioral Health clinical experience preferred.
