Job Description – QA Engineer (DB Testing)

Position: QA Engineer – Database Testing

Experience: 2–3 Years

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Gurgaon

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in Database Testing to join our team for an Airtel project. The candidate will be responsible for validating data accuracy, performing database testing, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality and reliability of applications and data.

Key Responsibilities

• •Perform Database Testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
• •Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and verification.
• •Validate data flow between application and database.
• •Perform backend testing and verify database transactions.
• •Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts .
• •Identify, document, and track defects through the defect lifecycle.
• •Perform Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing as required.
• •Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for defect resolution.
• •Participate in requirement analysis and contribute to test planning.
• •Ensure testing activities are completed within defined timelines.

Required Skills

• •2–3 years of experience in QA / Software Testing .
• •Strong hands-on experience in Database Testing .
• •Good knowledge of SQL and database queries.
• •Experience in Functional, Regression & Integration Testing .
• •Good understanding of SDLC/STLC and defect life cycle .
• •Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• •Good communication and coordination skills.

Good to Have

• •Experience working on telecom projects .
• •Exposure to API/Backend Testing.
• •Basic understanding of automation testing is an added advantage.
