Role Summary
We're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with Manual Testing experience, to be based in Mexico, supporting our IT division's ERP systems and business applications. This role blends requirements gathering, business process analysis, and hands-on functional, regression, and integration testing for ERP modules including Finance, HR, Inventory, and Procurement. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and ERP vendors, while leading UAT efforts, validating data migrations, and providing Service Desk support to keep our ERP environment reliable and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and end users
Conduct business process analysis to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
Support ERP integration testing — validate data flows, interfaces, and functionality across integrated ERP modules/systems
Design and execute functional test cases for ERP modules (e.g., Finance, HR, Inventory, Procurement) based on business requirements
Perform regression testing after ERP patches, upgrades, or configuration changes to ensure existing functionality is unaffected
Conduct interface/integration testing between ERP and connected third-party systems (validate data mapping, transformation, and sync accuracy)
Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users; document test scripts, results, defects, and sign-off
Log and track defects found during testing through resolution (using tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps)
Validate data migration accuracy during ERP upgrades or system transitions
Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and ERP vendors to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Provide Service Desk support — triage, log, and resolve tickets related to ERP systems and general IT issues
Perform basic system administration tasks (user access, configuration checks, system health monitoring) as needed
Train end users on new ERP functionality/processes as needed
Escalate unresolved technical issues to appropriate teams and track through to closure
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
Strong background in requirements gathering and business analysis
Hands-on experience with ERP integration, functional, and regression testing
Experience coordinating and executing UAT with business stakeholders
Working knowledge of system administration (user accounts, permissions, basic troubleshooting)
Experience supporting a Service Desk/helpdesk environment (ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk)
Strong communication skills — comfortable working directly with end users and stakeholders
Good documentation skills (requirements docs, test cases, test scripts, process maps)
