At Rethink, our promise to you is that you will do the best work of your career. We know that to do the best work, we have to create and promote an environment where people are happy, inspired, appreciated, empowered, and having fun. Our ability to back that promise is rooted in our commitment to remain a creative independent agency. So if you are ready to do the best work of your career while having fun, then read on.

Rethink is looking for high-energy, ambitious people who care about their colleagues and doing the best work of their career; everyone brings different qualities and areas of expertise to the table, which results in a diverse group with unique knowledge and capabilities.

The Opportunity

As the Quality Assurance Specialist you are the last check before any piece of work leaves the agency. You review video, audio, print and digital deliverables against style guides, the brief, the approved scripts and layouts, broadcaster and platform specs, and legal and brand requirements. You catch errors before the client, a broadcaster or the public does.

You work across production, studio, account, creative, talent traffic and legal teams, and you own the QA checklist and the error log that help the agency get better over time.

What you will do

Video and audio

Check final spots and cutdowns against approved scripts and offer matrixes to make sure all legal, offers, etc. are accurate.

Verify technical specs: resolution, frame rate, aspect ratio, safe areas, codecs, durations and slates.

Check audio loudness against broadcast standards (for example CALM Act and ATSC A/85, EBU R128) and platform targets.

Review supers, legal lines, closed captions and subtitles for accuracy, timing and legibility.

Confirm French and English versions match in content, timing and supers.

Print, OOH and digital

Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, punctuation and the client's style guide, in English and French.

Check layouts against approved files and brand standards: logos, colours, fonts, imagery and pricing.

Verify media specs: dimensions, bleed, colour profiles, file size and format for each placement.

Test digital and social assets: links, tracking tags, animation, alt text and display across devices.

Compliance and rights

Ensure accuracy around legal disclaimers, offer, finance terms or pricing, and french translations have been met and are correct across all assets.

Ensure fonts, stock images and supplied images are licensed appropriately.

Process

Sign off on every deliverable before release to the client, broadcaster or media partner.

Maintain QA checklists, spec sheets and delivery standards.

Log errors and their root causes, and share trends with production and creative leads.

Work with trafficking to confirm the right version goes to the right media outlet on time.

Deliver platform-ready setups and precise asset specs to the Media AOR or platform vendors. Manage DAM (Digital Asset Management) uploads, trafficking sheets, and live asset updates.

What you’ll bring:

4+ years in QA, proofreading at an agency or post production house.

Exceptional attention to detail, and the confidence to stop a delivery when something is wrong.

Fluent written English and French, with strong proofreading in both.

Working knowledge of broadcast and digital delivery specs for video, audio and display.

Comfortable reviewing files in tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign and Acrobat, and in review platforms like Frame.io.

Organized under tight deadlines, with several projects in review at once.

Clear, tactful communicator who can flag issues to creatives, producers and clients.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of accessibility standards for captions and digital content (WCAG).

Experience with Automotive, QSR, Alcohol or retail clients.
