Quality Control Professional

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Management:

• •Implement and maintain the company’s quality control systems and processes.
• •Develop and update quality control procedures to ensure consistency in product quality.
• •Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
• •Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications for all refractory products.

Testing and Inspection:

• •Oversee testing of refractory products for various properties such as thermal resistance, mechanical strength, and chemical composition.
• •Supervise and perform routine inspections of production processes to monitor quality at every stage of production.
• •Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and other relevant methods for product assessment.

Team Supervision and Training:

• •Lead, train, and mentor the quality control team to enhance productivity and quality awareness.
• •Assign tasks, track team performance, and ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
• •Conduct training programs on quality standards, safety procedures, and new testing methods.

Documentation and Reporting:

• •Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports.
• •Prepare detailed quality reports for management, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
• •Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the relevant department for corrective action.

Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

• •Identify root causes of defects or quality issues and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
• •Monitor and evaluate product feedback, suggesting improvements based on customer complaints or product failures.
• •Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, reduced waste, and enhanced product quality.

Supplier Quality Control:

• •Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality requirements.
• •Conduct audits and inspections on incoming raw materials, ensuring they meet the required standards before being used in production.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

• •Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the quality control processes.
• •Promote a safety-conscious culture by enforcing safe working practices in the QC laboratory and production areas.

ualifications:

• •Education:
• •Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
• •Experience:
• •Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in the refractory, ceramics, or manufacturing industry.
• •Skills:
• •In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing procedures in refractory materials.
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• •Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• •Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
• •Certifications:
• •Certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO auditor) would be a plus.

Working Conditions:

• •Work is typically carried out in a factory environment, which may involve exposure to high temperatures and heavy machinery.
