Experience in Chemical or Plastics Quality Assurance Laboratory Inspection or Testing PREFERRED
Quality Control Technician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
· Operate in compliance with all safety requirements of the facility.
· Perform routine inspection and analysis on incoming raw materials, in process samples and finished products according to approved procedures.
· Record QC inspection results and write QC reports.
· Maintain data integrity and quality records as to the status of inspected parts.
· Prepare and submit test samples as needed. Document and retain test results as required.
· Ensure compliance with company procedures and specifications.
· Assist in qualification, maintenance, and calibration of inspection equipment.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Support Quality functions dealing with system performance such as:
· Preventive and Corrective Actions, Non-Conforming Materials, and Discrepant Materials Reports.
· Participate in continuous improvement activities.
· Help prepare Quality Standard Operating Procedures
· Participate in training activities.
Requirements
Quality Control Technician requirements:
· Good eyesight and good eye/hand coordination.
· Ability to respect all safety requirements to ensure yours and your colleagues’ safety.
· Able to operate department specific equipment necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
· Able to read, interpret, and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, specifications, and reference materials.
· Ability to skillfully use a caliper, micrometer, tape rule and other instruments.
· Ability to use hand and power tools.
· Ability to problem solve by looking beyond obvious solution to a problem and endeavor to find the best solution.
· Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Basic computer skills
· With ERP system and other internally developed software.
· With Microsoft pack: Word, Excel (spreadsheet).
· Effective communication skills – written and oral.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Background in an industrial environment
· Experience in Chemical or Plastics Quality Assurance Laboratory Inspection or Testing PREFERRED
