Quality Manager

Position Overview:

Multimatic C-Mech, a division of the Multimatic Mechanisms Group, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Manager to provide strategic leadership for all quality-related activities within the division.

The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), leading customer and supplier quality performance, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, CCC requirements, and customer-specific standards, while driving a culture of operational excellence throughout the division.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong automotive manufacturing experience, capable of developing high-performing teams while driving quality excellence and leading a best-in-class QMS in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Quality team to achieve company and department objectives and support professional growth.
• •Establish clear performance expectations and conduct performance evaluations.
• •Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• •Plan, direct, control, and evaluate all Quality Assurance activities and operations.
• •Manage internal audits, customer audits, and third-party audits.
• •Ensure requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, CNCA-C11-10, CCC certification requirements, and applicable customer-specific requirements are effectively established, implemented, and maintained.
• •Ensure correct use of CCC certificate and ensure continuous validity of certificate status of products affixed with CCC mark.
• •Maintain, and report on all key reporting metrics (e.g. scorecards, KPI, KMI, QMS, etc.), monitor performance, identify risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigation strategies.
• •Lead root-cause analysis and the approval / implementation of timely corrective and preventive actions.
• •Contribute to cross-functional teams on engineering documentation (e.g. FMEA, control plans, job instructions, special characteristics, etc.).
• •Follow up on supplier, customer, and internal quality concerns for closure.
• •Drive defect reduction initiatives focused on improving customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.
• •Support new product launches and engineering changes.
• •Review and approve customer Sample Submissions (PPAP) before submitting to the customer.
• •Manage supplier quality, incoming inspection, and supplier corrective actions.
• •Ensure proper control, containment, disposition, and traceability of non-conforming material.
• •Update the fast response board and attend Fast Response Meetings.
• •Participate in and support DMN system activities.
• •Adopt, support, and encourage the development of continuous improvement ideas, KAIZEN principles, concepts and GEAR activities from staff to meet corporate goals.
• •Ensure compliance with all company procedures and policies
• •Work in compliance and conform to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards.
• •Perform other duties as required (i.e. special projects).

Basic Requirements and Competencies:

• •Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering (or a related discipline).
• •Minimum 3 years of experience as a Department Quality Manager or equivalent, within automotive manufacturing.
• •Detailed knowledge of IATF16949, ISO14001, and other applicable automotive quality standards.
• •Must have proven proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation, including GD&T as well as technical specifications.
• •Experience working directly with major automotive OEMs is considered a strong asset.
• •Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office programs (including Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• •Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• •Excellent problem solving / judgement skills and high degree of attention to detail.
• •Strong demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Work Environment:

This role requires 100% onsite presence and includes a combination of time in office and on the manufacturing floor. Travel to suppliers, customers, and between Multimatic divisions is required as needed.

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be:

$84,000.00 - $134,000.00
