The Quality Specialist is responsible for assuring that Greene, Tweed products meet the standards that we, our customers, the industries we serve, and third-party entities define for them. Responsibilities include support of Quality Processes and Systems to analyze product standards and limitations and assisting with generation of work instructions and procedures to comply with the various requirements. Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement programs, interpret and maintain the associated databases, and review customer requirements. Specific Responsibility:

• •Support or lead all relevant quality activities associated with manufacturing and inspection processes, procedures, and inspection requirements.
• •Participate in internal audits as well as support and participate in third party and customer audits as required.
• •Support Lean and Six Sigma improvement activities by participating on teams, collecting and analyzing data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring quality and process related documentation is updated
• •Create, maintain, and use electronic data systems (SAP, MES/QDS) to ensure accurate data.

• •Support tracking of in-process product issues and performance metrics as required for trend analysis and driving continuous improvement.
• •Lead and execute Quality mold approval processes.
• •Interpret customer and GTC drawings and identify necessary key characteristics for inspection.
• •Create, complete, and upload customer documentation packets based on individual customer requirements including first articles, PPAP, customer forms, certification uploads, and physical property reports. Utilize software and customer portal systems as required.
• •Interpret and verify customer prints, PO’s, and quality clause requirements. Ensure that GT documentation complies with customer requirements.
• •Create metrology programs (Keyence, OGP…etc.). Lead validation and verification activities through MSA studies.
• •Lead verification and troubleshooting of advanced metrology measurement equipment. For example, but not limited to OGP s, contact and non-contact optical equipment, and automated inspection systems.
• •Lead and administer calibration process including, but not limited to, coordination of calibration services, internal calibrations, troubleshooting calibration non-conformities (OOT Events), maintain calibration certifications, etc.
• •Leads and facilitates internal training on metrology equipment and inspection operation
• •Support the corrective action process on internal and external opportunities.
• •Support transfer of work and IQOQPQ activities as required.
• •Maintain and control QMS local work instruction and form.
• •Execute tasks assigned by quality manager.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education: HS Diploma required, Associates degree or above preferred.

Skills and Experience:

• •Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• •Knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications & drawings within a manufacturing environment.
• •Good communication skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally required.
• •Understanding of LSS tools & manufacturing fundamentals a plus.
• •Quality Management System and internal auditor experience preferred.
• •Keyence, OGP programming, optical equipment programming and/or NDT capabilities.
• •Knowledge and use of standard measuring devices.
