Quality Specialist

Description

The Quality Specialist supports the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). This position is responsible for developing and maintaining controlled documentation, conducting internal audits, supporting corrective action activities, and collaborating with departments to ensure processes are effectively documented and consistently followed.

Roles and responsibilities

Quality Management System

• •Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• •Assist with quality objectives, management reviews, risk assessments, and QMS performance monitoring.
• •Collaborate across all departments to evaluate process effectiveness, identify compliance gaps, and implement improvements.

Documentation Development and Control

• •Develop, revise, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, forms, and other controlled QMS documents.
• •Observe operations and collaborate to ensure documentation accurately reflects established processes.
• •Manage document review, approval, revision control, and distribution in accordance with QMS requirements.
• •Develop process maps, flowcharts, and visual work instructions as needed.

Internal Auditing and Compliance

• •Conduct internal QMS and process audits to evaluate compliance with ISO 9001 and company requirements.
• •Document objective evidence, communicate findings, and maintain audit reports and records.
• •Track audit findings and support corrective action follow-up and effectiveness verification.
• •Assist with external certification and customer audits.

Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement

• •Support the investigation and resolution of quality system nonconformities through root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• •Monitor corrective action progress and maintain accurate supporting records.
