Description

Are you detail-oriented, hands-on, and interested in building your skills in manufacturing quality and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Quality Technician who takes initiative, embraces new technology, and is willing to learn and put in the work to help improve our quality processes.

In this role, you’ll support quality assurance, dimensional inspection, metrology, documentation, and continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. You’ll work closely with the quality and production teams to investigate nonconformances, maintain quality records, ensure products meet customer specifications, and identify opportunities to improve processes. The ideal candidate is motivated, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of their work while continuing to develop their technical skills..

Requirements

What You Will Do

  • Support Quality Management Systems: Enter and maintain accurate records for nonconformances (NCs), return material authorizations (RMAs), and vendor returns (VRs) within quality management systems (QMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Perform Dimensional Inspection and Metrology: Operate and program coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to inspect components, verify dimensions, and ensure conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain Measurement Equipment: Perform and document gage calibration, verification, and measurement equipment checks to support accurate and reliable inspection results.
  • Support Customer Quality Requirements: Review orders for customer terms, specifications, and quality requirements. Assist with customer communication regarding quality concerns, corrective actions, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain Quality Documentation: Create and update balloon drawings, inspection plans, inspection reports, and test documentation to support manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Participate in Audits and Corrective Actions: Assist with internal audits, document findings, and support corrective and preventive actions to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality standards.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify quality concerns, investigate potential process improvements, and contribute ideas to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and strengthen quality systems.
  • Support Production Quality: Work alongside Quality Inspectors to assist with daily inspection activities and cross-train in additional inspection responsibilities as needed.
  • Take Initiative: Learn new technologies, adapt to evolving processes, and take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Accomplish

You will help ensure that products consistently meet customer expectations, engineering specifications, and established quality standards. Through accurate inspections, reliable documentation, and proactive problem-solving, you’ll help reduce defects, improve manufacturing processes, and support customer satisfaction. You’ll also have the opportunity to expand your technical capabilities and contribute to the continued development of our quality management system.

You Will Achieve This By

  • Taking initiative to identify issues, ask questions, and follow through on solutions.
  • Being willing to learn new inspection methods, quality systems, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Applying strong attention to detail when inspecting components, reviewing drawings, and maintaining records.
  • Working collaboratively with Quality, Engineering, Production, and other departments.
  • Adapting to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and accountability.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.

What You Bring to the Team

  • An associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Metrology, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing quality, quality assurance, dimensional inspection, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), CMM programming, and dimensional metrology.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), inspection methods, and measurement tools.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, quality management systems (QMS), nonconformance reporting, and corrective action processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, QMS, and other quality-related software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and commitment to developing new skills.
