As an intern in the Quantum Information Software group at IBM, you will work closely with researchers and developers to advance the state of the art in software for fault tolerant quantum computing. Your role can include: Resource estimation of quantum algorithms Compilation and optimization of high-level quantum algorithm primitives such as block encoding and arithmetic Developing techniques to reduce the non-Clifford resource usage of specific quantum algorithms Optimizing compilation for the bicycle architecture, including magic state factories and entanglement routing Perform an implementation of existing optimization techniques from the literature Familiarity with quantum information and quantum circuits. Ability to transform theoretical concepts to software prototypes. Track record of independent research and publication in quantum information science. Familiarity with modern quantum algorithms for simulation and cryptography. Expertise in quantum architectures based on qLDPC codes. Familiarity with error correction and simulations of QEC circuits.
