Job Summary**

Oversee all aspects of quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant extraction of raw materials while meeting production targets and maintaining environmental standards.

Job Responsibilities**

  • * Manage daily quarry operations, including drilling, blasting, excavation, crushing, and screening, to achieve production goals.
  • * Develop and implement operational plans, budgets, and schedules for quarry activities.
  • * Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • * Lead, train, and supervise quarry personnel, fostering a strong safety culture and optimizing team performance.
  • * Conduct regular inspections of quarry equipment and infrastructure, arranging for maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • * Monitor and manage quarry resources, including raw material reserves, equipment utilization, and inventory levels.
  • * Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • * Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, suppliers, and local communities.
  • * Prepare and present operational reports, performance analyses, and budget forecasts to senior management.
  • * Manage environmental permits and ensure compliance with all environmental protection guidelines.

Job Qualifications**

  • * Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in quarry operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • * Demonstrated knowledge of quarrying techniques, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • * Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and personnel effectively.
  • * Understanding of relevant environmental regulations and best practices.
  • * Proficiency in project management and operational planning.
  • * Valid driver's license and ability to work in outdoor, sometimes challenging, environments.
  • * Knowledge of German language is a plus.
