R&D Associate

About the Role

We are looking for an R&D Executive – Cosmetics to support the development, testing and improvement of cosmetic and personal care products across categories including Skin Care, Hair Care, Bath & Body and Personal Care .

The role will involve hands-on laboratory work, formulation trials, product evaluation and R&D documentation, along with coordination with cross-functional teams during product development and scale-up.

Key Responsibilities

• •Assist in the development and improvement of cosmetic and personal care formulations across various product categories.
• •Conduct laboratory trials, formulation experiments and sample preparation as per defined requirements.
• •Evaluate product samples for appearance, texture, fragrance, consistency and other relevant parameters.
• •Support stability studies and maintain records of observations and test results.
• •Assist in identifying and troubleshooting basic formulation or product-related issues.
• •Prepare and maintain formulation sheets, trial records, sample records, test observations and development reports .
• •Maintain proper documentation of all R&D activities and ensure records are updated accurately.
• •Coordinate with Quality, Production, Packaging and other cross-functional teams during product development and scale-up.
• •Support the transfer of developed formulations from laboratory trials to production batches.
• •Ensure adherence to R&D procedures, GMP, laboratory practices and safety requirements .
• •Maintain cleanliness, organisation and proper handling of laboratory equipment and materials.
• •Support the R&D team in benchmarking existing products and exploring improvements in formulations, ingredients and product performance.

Qualification

• •B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Cosmetic Technology, Cosmetic Science or Chemistry.
• •Candidates with relevant academic projects or internship experience in cosmetic formulation / personal care R&D will be preferred.

• •Good laboratory and sample-handling skills.
• •Basic understanding of stability testing, product evaluation and troubleshooting .
• •Good documentation and record-keeping skills.

• •Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
