  • Join Hitachi Energy’s India Development Center as an R&D Project Engineer and contribute to software products that enable reliable, high-quality engineering solutions for global customers.

Your work will contribute to the sustainable energy business by supporting software solutions that have real-world impact across critical energy infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and is committed to delivering high-quality software within agreed timelines.

You will gain hands-on experience in product development, customer issue analysis, engineering best practices, and cross-location collaboration with experienced technical teams.

How you'll make an impact:

Develop high-quality software applications and deliver committed features within agreed timelines.

Collaborate professionally with global development teams and internal and external customers.

Analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and implement maintainable software aligned with product architecture and project priorities.

Work with architects, test engineers, and product stakeholders to clarify scope, resolve technical issues, and support release commitments.

Ensure software quality through code reviews, unit testing, defect analysis, documentation, and adherence to established engineering practices.

Investigate customer issues, contribute to root-cause analysis, and deliver reliable fixes that improve product stability and user experience.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products, solutions, and development processes.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or a related discipline.

More than 4 years of proven experience in .NET-based Windows software application development.

Strong programming skills in C# and .NET technologies.

Experience developing high-performance Windows services and client-side applications, primarily desktop applications.

Strong working knowledge of Windows Forms.

Hands-on experience with Windows Communication Foundation.

Strong knowledge of LINQ and SQL databases.

Good understanding of algorithms and data structures.

Experience debugging complex multi-threaded and event-driven applications.

Strong technical documentation skills.

Good understanding of Agile and Scrum software development practices.

Good working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Team Foundation Server.
