Position Description
TRANSITION ACADEMY WORK-BASED LEARNING
RA Assistant Position
Reports to : Resident Life Coordinator and Work Based Learning Coordinator Job Status: Non-Exempt
DAY/HOURS OF JOB: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Shift 1: 9:00am-1:00pm
Shift 2 : 1:00pm-4:30pm
Shift 3: Overnight
Duration 4-12 Weeks
Job Summary:
Assist Resident Life Assistant with dorm duties by setting a positive example for students, conflict resolution, and other dorm duties as assigned by Coordinator.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Assist Resident Life Coordinator with dorm duties
2. Setting a positive example for students
3. Help coordinate and participate in dorm activities
4. Performing other relevant duties when needed and as assigned
Qualifications:
· Hardesty Transition Academy Student
Special Requirements/Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:
· Professional appearance and demeanor, including appropriate attire, good hygiene, and effective communication skills.
· Responsible, dependable, and able to manage time effectively.
· Maintain confidentiality of all student and participant information.
· Valid form of identification.
· Follow all A New Leaf, Inc. policies, procedures, and training requirements.
· Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals served.
· Open-minded, cooperative, and willing to learn.
· Basic reading, writing, math, computer, and Microsoft Office skills.
· Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to participate in physical activities and stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
· Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, bending, reaching, and other physical tasks as needed.
