How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
New hire sign on bonus of up to $30,000, up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available.
This position will be primarily located at CRCH in the OR, with possible rotations to ION or Riverside 3 during low OR case volume.
The Radiologic Technologist Outpatient performs diagnostic imaging procedures in ambulatory and practice-based settings. This role utilizes specialized equipment and clinical judgment to produce high-quality images while supporting efficient patient flow and excellent customer service.

 The Radiologic Technologist Outpatient
- Supports Carilion Clinic’s hallmarks of service excellence and quality in all job responsibilities.
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment in outpatient settings.
- Assesses patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safe and appropriate care.
- Positions patients and operates imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Utilizes PACS, RIS, and electronic medical record systems for documentation and workflow.
- Collaborates with physicians, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
- Participates in training and orientation of students and staff.
- Maintains a safe environment and adheres to radiation safety standards.
- Manages workflow independently and prioritizes patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with regulatory and organizational standards.



What We Require:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
Experience: None.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: ARRT registry required. Virginia state license required for ambulatory settings.
Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage workflow and prioritize tasks in an outpatient environment.

 Compensation Range:
$23.97 - $35.96 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
