• Duties will be consistent with the modality in which incumbent will be working. Candidates must meet the requirements
• of the modality in which they will be working. This position will report to the modality manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of assigned modality imaging while adhering to
• department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients,
• self and others.
• Performs imaging exams consistent to assigned modality in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for
• technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper patient identification is recorded.
• Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures
• and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
• Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to
• emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and
• hand washing policies.
• Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

Accredited Program Radiologic Technology

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• •ARRT-R - ARRT Radiography
• •BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

• Clarification on above requirements: For Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammo: ARRT (R)
• For MRI: ARRT (R) or ARMRIT
• For Nuclear Medicine: CNMT through NMTCB
• or ARRT (N) Upon Hire Required

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 1 year Experience in Radiology Preferred

Required Minimum Skills:

• Ability to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on department
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Possess excellent patient/customer service skills
