Responsibilities

• •Preparing examination room and equipment
• •Explaining x-ray procedure to the patient to ensure understanding and comfort
• •Operating x-ray machine according to established procedures
• •Reviewing the quality of image and redoing if needed
• •Operating within radiologic standards of care
• •Taking the necessary steps to avoid undue exposure to radiation
• •Maintaining an accurate patient record of completed x-ray procedures
• •Opportunity to cross train into other modalities (MRI, CT)

Requirements

• •Certification and current registration for Registered Technologist (RT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• •Experience in CT and MRI preferred.
• •Graduate of Accredited Imaging School.
• •Must have BLS certification
