Greystone Real Estate Advisory Group, a division of Greystone, is a consulting firm specializing in asset management for public institutions. Greystone drafts and negotiates leases, licenses, easements and other real estate documents for transportation agencies including the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and manages the agencies’ leased and licensed portfolios. Our office is located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston one block from the Transportation Building.

About the Position : We are seeking an attorney to fill the Real Estate Counsel position for our Boston based team which focuses on providing real estate services to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). The Real Estate Counsel drafts and negotiates leases, licenses, easements, deeds, development agreements, and other real estate documents. This position also ensures public procurement law compliance, coordinates closings, oversees the preparation of transaction summaries, assists staff with correspondence, performs legal research and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Juris Doctor (from an ABA-accredited law school) with 3+ years’ experience in commercial real estate, including leasing and conveyancing. Experience working with public entity clients a plus and working knowledge of Massachusetts public procurement laws preferred.

Who you are : You are an organized, detail-oriented attorney with excellent verbal, written and intercommunication skills and an interest in commercial real estate and the public sector. You have experience drafting and reviewing commercial real estate transaction documents.
