Description
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our Home Infusion team in the Richmond, Virginia area. This role provides 1:1 skilled nursing care to patients receiving IV medications, biologics, and specialty therapies in the comfort of their homes, with occasional support in our Infusion Center.
This is an excellent opportunity for RNs from a variety of clinical backgrounds who are looking for a rewarding role focused on patient relationships, clinical independence, and continuity of care.
What You’ll Do
- Administer IV infusion therapies and manage peripheral and central lines, including PICCs and ports.
- Assess patients before, during, and after infusions and recognize potential adverse reactions or complications.
- Provide patient and caregiver education on medication administration, line care, infection prevention, and symptom monitoring.
- Perform line care, troubleshooting, sterile dressing changes, and lab draws as needed.
- Respond to emergencies within scope and follow established protocols, including anaphylaxis procedures.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Review patient assessments and laboratory results and communicate changes or concerns to physicians, pharmacists, and leadership.
- Coordinate care with prescribers, home infusion pharmacists, patients, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Support individualized care planning while respecting each patient's dignity, autonomy, culture, and rights.
- Schedule and coordinate home visits and manage daily travel to patient homes.
- Maintain required equipment, supplies, safety checks, and regulatory documentation.
- Participate in quality initiatives and support referral and provider relationships as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Active RN license in the state of practice or verified compact licensure
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Positive, patient-centered attitude
- Excellent IV skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely travel to patient homes
Setting: Patient Homes + Infusion Center as needed

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing; current, active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice and current CPR certification (BLS minimum) required.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience providing nursing care required. Infusion experience required. Telephone, MS Office and computer/keyboard skills required. Previous EMR experience preferred. Must be knowledgeable of operations processes and guidelines for communication and PHI.
