• Position Summary:
• We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team. This role involves providing nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The RN will serve as a patient advocate and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow team members to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Deliver safe, individualized nursing care in Pre-op, PACU, and O.R. settings.
• •Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and implement care plans.
• •Monitor patients post-operatively for progress and complications.
• •Educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions and recovery.
• •Participate in admitting and discharging patients in a timely, safe manner.
• •Support infection control and safety protocols.
• •Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean peri-operative environment.
• •Respond competently to emergency situations and alarms.
• •Collaborate in QAPI initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• •Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• •Participate in staff meetings, training, and orientation of new personnel.

Requirements

• •Current RN licensure in the state of Kentucky
• •BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• •Experience in surgical or ambulatory care settings preferred.
• •Strong communication and organizational skills.
• •Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient care assignments.
• •Commitment to patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
