SUMMARY
As a Repair Technician under the direction of the Store Manager, you will support operations at Cliff Sports. Responsibilities include tuning ski and snowboard equipment, mounting and adjusting bindings, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Tune customer equipment promptly and accurately.
- Perform assigned duties as needed.
- Maintain rental and repair inventory.
- Assist with rental services when required.
- Uphold high safety standards in all tasks.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated competence.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass ski binding certification prior to start date or within 30 days of hire.
- Completion of binding manufacturer’s training and on-the-job training required.
- Certification in proper ski binding setup per manufacturer specifications.
- Proficient in using repair tools and equipment provided by the manufacturer and shop.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Handle all department equipment with care.
- Secure customer equipment properly and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Strong product knowledge to recommend appropriate tunes, adjustments, or rental equipment.
- Ability to interact pleasantly with guests and coworkers, maintaining positive relationships across departments.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Shifts vary and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be available to work any day of the week during operating hour (8am-6pm)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be prepared to stay overnight during occasional road closures.
- May experience stress from public interaction, winter conditions, and commuting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.
- Must work efficiently under pressure.
- Frequent interruptions and exposure to noise.
- May experience stress during high-occupancy periods or guest interactions.
- Outgoing and friendly personality required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must be able to make quick decisions regarding guest and employee concerns.
- Advanced or expert skiing/snowboarding ability preferred.
- Must be comfortable making repairs while guests wait, requiring focus amid interruptions.
