Accepting a role with Elders means you will be joining the family backed by a team ready to support and grow your career. Be part of a culture that has been in the making for more than 185 years, a culture so strong it is almost tangible. Much like the farmers and communities we work with, you will experience, passion, dedication and resilience across all parts of the business. With such an iconic, essential business in the Australian landscape we are confident that you too will be proud to grow your career at Elders and wear the pink shirt.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Retail Sales Representative / Warehouse Operator to join our Dalby team, on a permanent, full time basis - responsible for warehouse and yard operations, front of office sales as well as on farm deliveries.

This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be responsible for the tidiness and organisation of the shed, packing orders, deliveries to rural clients as well as supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our warehouse and yard.

Benefit from hands-on training, ongoing mentoring and support to develop your skills and grow your career with Elders.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that values safety, efficiency, and doing the job right the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high level of customer service, build and maintain strong client relationships, and promote Elders within the local farming community.
  • Provide administrative support to the Merchandise team, including preparing quotes, processing customer orders and accurately recording sales (intermediate computer literacy required).
  • Pick, pack, wrap, receive, store and dispatch merchandise and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures and documentation.
  • Manage inventory, including receivals, general orders, weekly cycle counts and stocktakes, while ensuring accurate stock records.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles and trucks, and undertake general warehouse and yard duties as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised warehouse and yard, adhering to workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Undertake farm deliveries as required, using a trailer and HR truck.
  • Represent and promote Elders at local field days, agricultural shows and community events.

About You

  • A friendly, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in the agricultural industry.
  • A strong customer service focus, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics or rural merchandise handling, with strong attention to detail.
  • A commitment to safety, reliability and teamwork.
  • Physically fit and comfortable undertaking hands-on warehouse and yard duties.
  • A current full Driver's Licence and Forklift Licence.
  • A current HR Truck Licence (desirable).
