PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Retail Merchandising Salesperson specializes in receiving early morning inventory shipments from our retail distribution center. Location of this role is based out of Snow Park Lodge, with the need to assist other retail locations at Silver Lake Lodge, Empire Lodge, the Grand Hyatt, and on Main Street in downtown Park City. Also responsible for selling apparel, gift, and technical merchandise at various retail locations throughout Deer Valley Resort.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• •Receive and process daily incoming merchandise deliveries by verifying quantities against shipment documentation and ensuring all merchandise is properly accounted for.
• •Identify and communicate shipment discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, or receiving errors to maintain accurate inventory.
• •Put away overstock in onsite and offsite storage rooms once the sales floor is adequately replenished.
• •Display merchandise in alignment with retail merchandising and visual standards on a daily basis.
• •Transfer merchandise between store locations for special guest requests and stock balance.
• •Complete all credit card and gift card sales in a timely manner.
• •Open and close the store according to operational guidelines.
• •Maintain store visual and cleanliness standards throughout shift, ensuring a world-class shopping experience for all guests.
• •Provide exceptional guest service by addressing guest needs and suggesting products.
• •Maintain basic knowledge of general information about Deer Valley ski resort and be capable of directing guests and answering their questions.
• •Participate in Retail Pop-Up Events including outdoor tent activations.
• •Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 6:00am with potential periodic evening shifts. Must be available to work during peak holiday seasons
• •Previous inventory management and receiving experience preferred
• •Previous sales experience and knowledge of apparel and/or eyewear preferred
• •Ability to lift and/or carry between 25-30 lbs
• •Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• •Ability to walk up and down staircases, carry boxes, products, and other store related items
• •Ability to work independently and with a team of associates in a positive and productive manner
• •Ability to climb a ladder when needed

PAY RATE:

$20.00 per hour
