About the role
New Zealand is our grassroots, home market at Halter, and a pretty unique one at that. You'll be our Revenue Operations presence for NZ, embedded with our Sales team and based in our Auckland HQ. You'll sit within Revenue Operations & Enablement (part of GTM Operations).
This isn't a reporting role or a process maintenance role. You're here to drive performance. Hold the NZ GTM motion to its plan, diagnose what's breaking before it compounds, and build the operational rigour that lets our teams outperform. You'll own pipeline integrity across the NZ funnel, drive conversion and velocity, run the deal desk motion locally, and land the enablement that makes new process actually stick with a field sales team. Post-sale operations, launch and support globally, sit with our Customer Rev Ops Manager, so your focus is the sales cycle.
You'll do it with AI as a core tool. Not experimentally, not occasionally. We expect you to actively use AI to move faster than your role would otherwise allow.
What your day could look like
Running pipeline reviews with Regional Sales Managers. Deals are real, stages are accurate, blockers get surfaced early
Digging into a conversion drop between stages, finding the root cause, and driving the fix end-to-end
Turning around a deal desk request with customer context, commercial logic, and a clear recommendation, fast enough that the rep never loses momentum
Rolling out a new process to the NZ sales team. Not just announcing it, but training it, chasing adoption, and proving it landed
Building reporting that tells leadership what's happening before they have to ask
Landing a global process change in NZ, or documenting one you've built here so AU and US can pick it up without starting from scratch
Flagging a pattern in NZ handovers or support escalations to the Customer Rev Ops Manager so they can act on it globally
Sitting with a Territory Manager to understand why a workflow they're meant to follow doesn't survive contact with a real farm visit
What we're looking for
We don't care where you've come from. Business or sales operations, customer-facing roles, larger scale consulting firms, or you were the person in a fast-growing startup who just made everything work. The background is irrelevant. What matters is how you think and how you operate.
You hold a high bar for data quality and trust what the numbers tell you. When something looks off, you dig. Not because someone asked you to, but because you can't leave an unexplained number alone. You're equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and in a room with a sales team, and you know when each is the right tool.
You think in systems, not tasks. You fix the process that caused the problem, not the symptom in front of you. You take ownership end-to-end: flag, diagnose, propose, execute, measure. You don't hand problems back up.
You can make change stick. A mature market has habits, and some of them are older than the process you're replacing. You know that adoption is the hard part, and you build for it rather than assuming a Slack post will do the job.
You communicate credibly at every level. From Territory Managers to the VP of Sales, without losing precision or directness. People bring you in early because you make things move, not because you make things comfortable.
You'll crush this role if you
Hold yourself and others to the plan. You have the conviction to push back when execution doesn't match it
Have an instinct for where revenue is leaking. Before the data formally confirms it
Can tell the difference between a process problem and a people problem. And know how to fix both
Drive adoption, not announcements. You measure whether a process landed and you go back when it didn't
Improve what already works. A mature market doesn't need rebuilding, it needs sharpening. You find the incremental gains others have stopped looking for
Build things that travel. You design and document with the other markets in mind, and you'll happily take a playbook someone else built rather than reinventing it
Are energised by pace and unfinished playbooks. Not slowed down by them
See AI as a core work tool. Not a trend. You've already built it into how you operate
Know how to operate without ownership. Some of the most important things you'll influence sit outside your direct remit. You're effective through insight and relationships, not just formal accountability
Bonus points if
You've driven process change across field sales teams and know what adoption actually requires
You've worked in ag-tech, SaaS, or hardware-led businesses
You've operated in a mature market where growth came from tightening execution, not just adding volume
You've supported a deal desk or commercial approvals motion
