Join us as an ERM Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) Analyst to join our Operational Risk team. The Risk Analyst role will support core activities of the Operational Risk Pillar within Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). This includes managing the Firm’s operational risk program and related platform and polices, as well as centralized risk oversight of certain firmwide operational processes. The Risk Analyst must have the ability to work on a variety of activities simultaneously and be able to work effectively across levels, functions, and locations, and in close coordination with their ERM colleagues and other control groups.

Your key responsibilities will center around the Firm’s operational risk platform:

Perform system administration activities for the Firm’s Risk & Control Self-Assessment RCSA), Risk Event Management, and Internal Signing Authorities applications

Participate in systems enhancement projects including developing requirements, testing, etc.

Support users during roll-out of program updates including development of end-user training and best practices guides

Respond to user inquiries regarding system functionality and program requirements

Produce operational risk metrics/dashboards and contribute to preparation of executive-level updates on operational risk topics

Support ongoing work to enhance risk analytics and consolidation/centralization of risk reporting across ERM

Qualifications:

BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience required.

2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in financial services

Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite supporting data visualization/reporting tools: e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, etc.

Experience with referential database environments, structures, and queries (SQL, Oracle, etc.)

Ability to design and create impactful presentations (content and graphics) for various audiences.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines

Understanding of Risk principles and corresponding practices in assessing overall controls and effectiveness; Audit, Risk, or Compliance experience a plus.

Strong interpersonal, relationship, collaboration skills, and ability to work across functions and levels

Knowledge of BBH products, services, and practices, preferred.
