You will work closely with Underwriting, Claims, agents, insureds, and carriers to evaluate concerns, determine appropriate action, and improve risk-management practices.

This role combines hands-on analysis with team leadership. You will use sound judgment to make and implement significant risk-management decisions within your delegated authority, while recognizing when a matter requires leadership input.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor insured risk performance, operational changes, claims activity, and loss trends throughout the policy term.

Evaluate changes in exposure, adverse patterns, guideline concerns, and unresolved corrective actions; determine and implement an appropriate response within delegated authority.

Prepare and interpret risk summaries and reports that support underwriting and risk-management decisions.

Partner with Underwriting, Claims, agents, insureds, carriers, and service partners to address concerns and communicate required corrective actions.

Make decisions involving noncompliance, corrective action, and policy cancellation within delegated authority.

Direct the priorities, assignments, and daily work of designated Risk/Claims Support team members; provide training, quality review, and performance feedback.

Provide leadership with input on team performance and staffing needs.

Identify trends across the book of business and implement or recommend risk-mitigation strategies and process improvements.

Qualifications

Experience in commercial insurance, transportation, risk management, claims, underwriting, or a related field.

Prior leadership or supervisory experience.

A high school diploma or GED; education and experience in insurance, business, risk management, or a related field is required.

Strong judgment, communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.

The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and handle confidential information with care.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn insurance, policy-administration, underwriting, claims, reporting, and carrier systems.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits program for eligible employees, including:

Four medical plan options, including an HSA-eligible plan, with an employer contribution toward employee-only coverage.

Two dental plan options with an employer contribution, plus voluntary vision coverage.

Employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance and employer-paid long-term disability coverage.

Employer-paid Freshbenies healthcare-navigation and virtual-care resources, plus employee-assistance and wellness resources.

Voluntary life and AD&D, short-term disability, and additional voluntary coverage options.

Paid time off and company holidays.

Work environment

The position involves regular computer and telephone work, review of detailed records, and collaboration with internal and external partners. Standard business hours apply, with occasional additional hours based on business needs. Reasonable accommodations are available to qualified individuals with disabilities.

We welcome candidates who enjoy solving problems, supporting a team, and turning risk information into effective action.

REVAU is an equal opportunity employer. We provide equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
