Room Attendant

Description

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces—including linen and laundry areas—in accordance with company procedures and quality standards, consistently meeting or exceeding company expectations.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

• •Clean and maintain the guest room areas, including bathroom and bedroom, according to company standards
• •Organize and stock cleaning cart, and organize linen closets as assigned
• •Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
• •Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills or executing special guest requests

• •High work ethic and self-initiative
• •Regular attendance according to established guidelines
• •May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
• •Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions
• •Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times

Physical Requirements:

• •Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately 24 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 18 rooms per shift
• •Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
• •Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
• •Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind
• •Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques
• •Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds
• •Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork
• •Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
