Summary of Job Duties:

The Room Service Ambassador is responsible for assisting patients with menu selections and ensuring that patients receive meals and nourishment in accordance with physician-prescribed diets, food allergies, and preferences. The Room Service Ambassador provides excellent customer service to ensure the department’s goals are met.

Qualifications:

• •High School diploma/GED required.
• •Basic keyboard skills and telephone etiquette skills.
• •Experience in a food service, customer service, or patient care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• •Provide an excellent customer service experience when the patients are making menu selections.
• •Takes food orders over the phone.
• •Make selections in the electronic meal selection system and update and record patient information.
• •Correct menu choices based on meal patterns, allergies, and patient preferences.
• •Troubleshoot issues at the point of service affecting patient satisfaction with the food service.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.
