SMG seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction for our Insights Team - in Central Indiana.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.

This person will travel to different client sites throughout the state of Indiana.

Overview of Job Responsibilities

• •Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
• •Safety program review/development
• •Visit Construction clients to perform site audits and assessments
• •Provide training
• •Administer Safety Partner Program to multiple clients
• •Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
• •Provides incident management and support
• •Documentation and Report preparation

Requirements

• •Four plus years of construction safety experience
• •A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
• •CSP, CHST, STS-C is preferred but not required
• •Experience reviewing safety programs
• •Experience providing training and site audits
• •First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• •OSHA 30-hr Construction
• •OSHA 510 preferred

Additional Information

• •SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• •Eligible to receive all SMG Benefits.
• •Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Physical Demands of the job may include

• •Moving about long distances
• •Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
• •Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
• •Working in extreme weather
• •Being exposed to loud noises
• •Wearing personal protective gear correctly
