About depthfirst

We believe that software is the foundation of modern civilization. Yet vulnerabilities threaten its integrity, security, and resilience. We are on a mission to secure the world’s software.

depthfirst is building intelligence to detect and remediate critical software vulnerabilities. We are training and scaling security AI agents to discover zero-day vulnerabilities across large customer codebases and popular open source software.

Our founding team brings deep expertise in data, infrastructure, security and AI, with leaders from DeepMind, Databricks, Square, and Faire. We're looking for thoughtful, driven people excited to work at the intersection of AI, Security, and Infrastructure.

About This Role

We're looking for a hungry, high-EQ Outbound SDR to join our GTM team at an exciting stage of growth. You'll be one of the early sales hires, which means what you build here will shape how the company sells for years to come. This isn't a seat-filler role. It's a career-defining opportunity for the right person.

You'll be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and qualifying potential customers through outbound channels. You know how to have a real conversation, how to listen, and how to earn a meeting.

You're excited about this role because you will…

Build and execute outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn targeting ideal customer profiles

Research accounts and personalize outreach to drive meaningful engagement

Qualify prospects and book discovery calls for Account Executives

Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and targeting

Track activity in CRM and provide feedback on what's working in the field

Hit and exceed monthly pipeline generation targets

Qualifications

Background in cybersecurity (professional, academic, or personal interest) OR at least 1 year of outbound sales experience in any industry

High emotional intelligence and genuine curiosity about people and their problems

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Comfort operating in a startup environment where things change, priorities shift, and resourcefulness is rewarded

A clear understanding of the tradeoff: early-stage comp versus long-term equity upside, and excitement about that bet

Coachable, self-motivated, and competitive in a collaborative way

Located in or willing to relocate to San Francisco (this role is in-office)

What We Offer

Competitive salary with meaningful equity

Health, vision, and dental insurance

Office lunch and dinner (SF office)

High ownership and impact: you'll define how we hire and who we become as a company

The opportunity to join a rapidly scaling AI startup during its most formative phase
