Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Idaho Sales Engineer will play an important role in expanding PermaCold’s market presence, increasing revenue, and strengthening customer relationships. We are looking for a motivated, self-directed sales professional who enjoys developing new business, identifying opportunities, and building lasting partnerships with customers.

- Proactively generate new business through networking, cold calling, industry events, trade shows, referrals, and other sales development activities.
- Meet or exceed established sales, bookings, and revenue goals for the assigned territory.
- Manage all stages of the sales process, from initial prospecting and customer discovery through proposal development, negotiations, closing, and ongoing account management.
- Independently follow up on all leads, whether self-generated, referral-based, or marketing-sourced, to develop new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional service offerings, equipment replacements, system upgrades, and refrigeration projects.
- Collaborate with PermaCold and Kelvin Group partner companies to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities and strengthen customer relationships.
- Work closely with Operation, Service, Project Management, Engineering, and company leadership to develop solutions that meet customer needs and align with operational capabilities.
- Communicate market trends, competitive insights, customer feedback, and new business opportunities to company leadership.
- Develop customer account plans and sales strategies that support long-term growth and strengthen PermaCold’s position in the market.
- Build an understanding of customers’ facilities, equipment, operational needs, and business goals to identify opportunities for service, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and capital projects.
- Represent PermaCold professionally and maintain a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, safety, and reliable service.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, activity, and forecast information in the company’s designated CRM system.
- Participate in relevant industry associations and events. Familiarity with organizations such as ASHRAE, RETA, and IIAR is beneficial.
- Travel extensively within the assigned territory, including customer visits, industry events, and other business development activities. Travel may exceed 50%.
